Superstite is a reflection on what remains after a mutation, a change, and takes on a history that at times appears faded or mutilated. A body alone explores the infinite declinations of the “emptiness that remains.” The fragment is not dross, quite the opposite. Small part that tells you about a possible “whole” of a possible wholeness that opens to the imagination of a hidden time and a possible diversity. What moves the missing part? What boundaries and forms does it try to redraw? The surviving body narrates an emptiness and both itself and the viewer are enveloped in a continuous movement of inquiry into this lack. A choreographic action where movement, the medium of life, stands in relation to a larger dynamic that belongs to the constant instability and precariousness of the state of survival. And it is precisely in this tending to believe, to cross over, to open the body to the void, to the unknown space, that dance appears. Mysterious movement, present in intensity and quality, living in that limit between specificity, form, posture, space, time. A continuous readjustment of the body in the void, true living space, as a tension to a possible being.
