Dance and music come together in a mutually amplifying relationship from which constantly evolving imagery can develop. Sound is able to evoke images that are translated into movement that, as in a game of mirrors, is reflected changing perspective and meaning. The choreography is developed in two pictures entitled Passage and Paysage: PASSAGE is a narrow corridor in which the limit becomes strength through a duet of female bodies continuously interrupted by an incessant repetitive rhythm, low frequencies and concrete sounds. The two bodies intersect emphasizing the intentions of the two dancers to want to meet or to portray themselves in each other’s form without ever fully succeeding. The difficulty of finding a stable balance reflects the syncopated and repetitive rhythm. Each attempted encounter generates a nonsense, an alienating circuit that puts the viewer in a state of unpredictability and fascination. Only in the final painting entitled PAYSAGE ( landscape ) does repetition become a form of change and the two bodies on stage become one another’s alter egos. Sound narration through a cyclic combination of images becomes the interpreter of how he sees the world or would like to see it.
