Wrapped in darkness, two dancers maneuver their bodies according to trajectories that are now free and light, now decisive and fragmented, reinterpreting the theme of the pas de deux, a scenic system that in the history of ballet has always highlighted the profound value of bonding and relationship. The pas de deux is revisited as a chance to release emotional states through intentions, dynamics and spatial interlocking. Giulio Petrucci and Jari Boldrini’s performance explores a journey of visual landscapes through the body, drawing on timeless imagery to convey new forms of virtuosity and recreate utopian narrative glimpses.
