LUCIA GUARINO
Born in Foligno in 1982.
Dancer and author.
After studying ballet and modern, she moved to Florence where she studied contemporary dance techniques in Simona Bucci-Imago Lab’s school and graduated in Architecture. She continues her profession as a dancer between Italy, Belgium, Spain, and Argentina. She wins some national and international projects of choreographic research and training: BIDE 2012, DanceMovesCities 2013, KLM 2015, Volcano 2017, WorkspacericercaX 2019.
In 2018 she trained as a teacher Dance Well-Dance for Parkinson desease teaching today for Teatro Stabile dell’Umbria and ParkizoneOnlus-Rome.
Of fundamental importance are the meetings with Marina Giovannini, Simona Bertozzi, Virgilio Sieni, Cristina Rizzo, Kinkaleri, Romeo Castellucci, Lisbeth Gruwetz, Jan Fabre, Simone Forti, Myriam Gourfink, Marcello Sambati, Silvia Rampelli.
As a performer she works with Compagnia Semi Cattivi, Romeo Castellucci, Lisbeth Gruwez, La Società dello Spettacolo, Anna Marocco, Camilla Monga, Simona Bertozzi, Virgilio Sieni, Alessandro Carboni, Francesco Marilungo. She is assistant choreographer to Simona Bertozzi for the Biennale Danza 2014 and the National Academy of Dance in 2024.
She collaborates as a choreographer with the prose company Baglioni \ Bellani.
Her works as an author are supported by Nexus Factory and have been presented at national and international festivals and institutions.
